has anyone had a problem with rust bubbling under there wing? i had the trunk repainted once by mitsu but they ****ed it up so i gotta go back but i think im gonna go to another body shop an get it done

Yes, happened to me. How did mitsu mess it up? I would have them redo it if it was something they did.

 

Just got my new wing painted (CF peeling...warranty FTW). The body shop found rust under the wing. They said they'll strip it and repair it before they'll replace the whole trunk. They are, however, fixing some dents on the lid from having to much stuff in my trunk for free.

iirc, there is a 100,000 mile corrosion warranty from the factory, correct?

i have no clue how the messed up but i kno the rust is common there cuz my brother had the same problem with his so they may have not really cleared it right or something, i wouldnt let mitsu paint my **** again they had some over spray on my car i was pissed about, they didnt even take it off to paint it an they only painted the top of it not even the back end so i was pissed it look like **** an yes im pretty sure mitsu had the 100k corrosion dont hold me to it cuz my VIII has 65k on it an i got mine repainted at 63k


05VIII take some pix of it an post them if ya can cuz if its bubbled under the paint they have to fix it let me kno
