Bah! I had to wait 11 months to get a set of TDR Race Pro 1.2 rims (albeit not from Gruppe-S).

they were in stock when we first started talking, then through the few messages they ran out, but never told me.
they told me they are waiting for them to come in from japan through air freight after i asked after i had heard nothing for a month!
2 months later, still no air filters and they havent replied to my 2 last messages!

When Cal worked there everything was great, but since then it's been all downhill unfortunately. Speed Element is top notch, and a much more reliable option than Gruppe-s.

onesicklambo,

You think 6 months is a lot? I've been waiting for Advan wheels for over 1 year!

Advan is making some OEM wheels now and pushing back production of aftermarket wheels so supply is very limited and EVERYONE has been waiting for them - especially the GTR spoke sizes.

This is not Gruppe-S's fault. We're all waiting for Advan wheels.

are you sure? I ordered my Advan RS from my supplier in japan and he called them and told me I had to wait 4 weeks since they are made to order. I placed the order 2 months ago and waited exactly 5 weeks before it was at my door. I remember my supplier emailed me on Friday and said they just arrived at his shop and was sent out the same day. On Monday they were already at the customs and Tuesday it was at my office when I walked in 2 days shipping.
Sorry you had to wait almost 1 year but if its true about them making OEM wheels I dont know how I got my wheels before you did. I will tell you this tho.. I bugged my supplier at the 3rd and 4th week to get a confirmation on delivery time and I believe it helped because he was calling Advan quite a few times to get my wheels delivered on time.

Derek,

your case is different. Most vendors will take order of wheels and wait for them to fill up their cargos (many other parts involved not only wheels). If their cargo isn't filled up, its not going to arrive on-time. Shipping just a set of wheels from Japan to U.S isn't cost effective, if you know what i mean.
