dissapointed with gruppe-s

okay...dont get me wrong I like gruppe-s. they have always got me good prices and most of the stuff was in stock and I just pick it up locally. BUT I have had some rims ordered for some time, (6months to be exact) and every month its either "we forgot to put them on this container", "the container is delayed", "the rims are backordred" etc. Which these are a common rims(advans). But hey maybe they could be backordered and theres nothing gruppes could do about it. But when i was quoted for 2-3months, and its been 6...probably be 7 when I get them I just dont know. I am kind of dissapointed in the service just needed to vent. But I know nothing about inernational shipping and parts so for all I know it could take 6months for rims.

have u tried getting a refund? what kind of rims did u order, because some rims if exclusive are harder to obtain from overseas vendors. u just have to keep pressure and be patient or get your money back.

i ordered a set of ssr sp1, black w/ polished lip 18x9 +29 offset from them about a month ago and i called the other day, make that 2 weeks ago and i was told the container was being shipped out of japan that day and they should have them in 2 weeks. i called 3 days ago to check on the size and they told me that they should have them in 2 weeks, i said thats what i was told 2 weeks ago and whoever i was talking to(didnt get his name) said well i was told we,ll have them in 2 weeks,so will just have to wait and see.BTW i,ve never heard of anyone having a problem with them so i,m hoping for thje best. i also just paid a 1,000.00 credit card bill for the 50% down on the wheels.

I think PM's to Gruppe-S would be your best way to "vent".

Anyways I've heard good things about the guys down there. I hope they can get you squared away.

like i said i,ve heard nothing but good things about them and they,ve answered all my pm,s about tire and wheel fitment so i,m not really worried. if in two weeks they tell me they,re expecting them in 2 weeks then i might get a little concerned but right now i,m just waiting with excitement about finally getting them,i,ve wanted these wheels since my 03 8. from what i hear on evom they are a very reliable vendor

Unfortunately this is a common problem when ordering parts from Japan and a risk you take. If they are not in stock in Japan, there isn't much Guppe-S or anyone can do for that matter. I'm sure their supplier tells them the same thing they are telling you and they are as frustrated as you.

Yeah when I ordered my Volks it took almost 8 months to get them in. It is a common problem with getting wheels out of Japan. In my case they were special edition wheels at the time. Chances are your Advans were not in stock so you have to wait for them to be made and shipped.
