it's only v-band to connect the midpipe to the rear section. the part of the exhaust that connects to the cat is still flanged for bolts so you can run any test pipe, HFC, downpipe combo you want.
I've got the BR Bullet TBE, and it's quite "bubrpupalyly" or whatever the hell you are calling it. 
Not at all like my N! on my old GSX. A lot smoooooother of a sound, not nearly the harshness to it or as tinny sounding.
