I know exactly what you want. It isn't a volume thing at all, it is because the muffler is at the end of the exhaust. If you put the muffler upstream, the sound will echo in the pipe causing the burble. That is just the dynamics of the sound.
If you put a long straight muffler in the mid-pipe and none at the end, that would get you the sound you want.

I have the Megan turbo-back (with stock 02 housing) and here are two vids of my car at idle and revving. Sounds pretty rough to me. If I had the money I'm sure i'd have a different exhaust, but I got a deal on this one that I just couldn't pass up. It'll do for now!!!!
