The Most "Burbly" Exhaust Produced

Hey guys. Ive been doing my reSEARCHing constantly about which turboback to put on my IX. I know that there are hundreds of exhaust threads out there but I did not find one directly related to my question.

What is the most "burbly" and "burpy" exhaust out there that isnt raspy at all when catless???

I've heard many Evos (stock cammed) but some when started just sit there and burbly/burp when idleing and accelerating. It kind of sounds like the Subaru's boxer engines.

I love Buschur's products, but their exhaust is just too raspy and mushed-up sounding. There is no burble in it at all. Thats not what Im looking for. I dont mind if its a little loud too. So, Im looking for that exhaust that sounds like a boat. Ive heard that Helix's is exceptionally burbly and TurboXS's is too.

So back to the original question: What is the most burbly exhaust out there that produces that lovely burping sound when catless?

Also, does the lack of or existance of a resonator make this sound or is it muffler design?

Another way to put it: Which exhaust is the least raspy and deepest exhaust out there?

Thanks again!!!

Can't figure out what "burpy" is supposed to sound like. It is probably the ones without a cat.

I think he's looking from an exhaust that sounds like that of a camming V8 (a'la subaru exhaust sounding). Truthfully of the 3 or 4 Evo's(all aftermarket systems) that I hangout with here, none of them have that grumble that you are looking for. I almost wanna say that you'll need to get cams to get that sound.

Oh I see, and I would say you are correct, with the cams!

The cars werent cammed. The exhaust was just burbly IDK how else to describe it. When its started up it was "burping." Its from a certain type of exhaust. I want to say that Helix and TurboXS have the sound. Im just curious to know what exhausts that you guys have sound the same?

have you heard the magnaflow (not sure if u like them or not) but they have some clips on their website (of an evo 8 but the kit is for 9's to) and it doesnt sound too raspy. they have like 3 clips i think. a drive by clip and a reving clip but i cant remeber the 3rd. but yeah i would say cams would definitely help. it turned a stock 455 motor i put in my 70 olds into a ground shaker, 4cyl or 8cyl the theory should be the same.

Thx...Yeah this sound is a natural exhaust note that has nothing to do with cams though. Its just a certain design. Lets rephase the question:

Which exhaust is the least raspy and deepest exhaust out there?

i came from a straight pipe on a v8 jeep so i know the tone you mean. i love that v8 rumble. you wont get it from a turbo 4 banger, but for what its worth i have a perrin exhaust and i llike how it sounds. deep tone but not too loud at all. looks pretty stock too, tip just sticks out a little bit

Mine's pretty deep, with absolutely no rasp. Although I don't think they sell them anymore.
