Help. oxygen sensor won't come off.

Is it safe to use PB nut loosener on the oxygen sensor? Or can that damage it? I can't unscrew the thing.

Use PB around the contact area, use 1 open ended wrench and one closed to get more of a leverage.

I had a problem with that when I was doing my testpipe, I used a screw driver to take off those clips so I get more length in the wire first, then I pull the cat out from the passenger side of the car till I have enough room to actually stand the cat upwards. Then I put an open end wrench on the o2 sensor, and used my BFH (Big F*ckin Hammer) and hammered on the wrench and the o2 sensor slowly unscrewed out. Worked like a charm Remember, if brute force does'nt work... then you're not using enough of it.

WD 40, let it sit for a few mins, use some muscle and you have a loose O2 sensor...

Ya, they are great! have a small groove cut up one side to allow the wiring through and the contact all sides of the sensor. Very nice! I think I picked one up at the zone for 5 bucks.....well worth it!

It's impossible for a socket to take off an O2 sensor...even if they made a Socket for an O2 sensor...there's no way to get the socket on there unless you cut your wires.

OK.....if it is impossible to use it then why would they manufacture it? I have used it numerous times with no problems. If you dont have one and havent used it you cant really make a good judgement about it can you?

Stop making assumptions if you have no clue.
