I made the mistake on getting into a modded Evo with a few bolt ons, and after that, I simply couldn't live with being stock. I don't regret it one bit!

I dont know how you can stand it being stock. Take a ride in mine and youll be back home in a flash with your AMEX in hand.

I am currently stock. Cant afford any mods since I am still in school and want to milk the warranty for all that it is worth. But if you want to keep it stock then it is your business. Who cares. Do you want a fortune cookie. I am trying not to flame you but what is the point of this thread. People have their own reasons for doing things. So be it. If you mod it great if not then kudos

In a stock form:

5 years 50k mile warrantee.
All for around 30K
What else can you ask for?
Call me crazy, but I don’t see a need to fix unbroken thing.
Well, If your 1.8 bora wasn't broke, why did you fix it?

I'm stock and it's been stock ever since I bought it 2 years ago. It's daily driven, I dont track or autocross it and I've out grown the whole 'mod the car just because' mentallity. It runs great out of the box and I'm content with it right now. If I do get bored with it down the road (unlikely) I'll probably trade up to something better or get a second car.

My bora came from the factory with 150bhp, I’d say it’s about 450bhp now, that’s 300hp over stock.
The EVO on the other hand comes with 286hp, big difference there, not just power, the brakes, suspensions, AWD, race seats…..etc.
Plus it’s a lot more fun to beat Vipers in a girls car (on the track).

I got my Evo recently, after having four Miatas in a row. They were great cars, but I modded the hell out of each of them. Why? Because they had fantastic chasses but cried out for more power, tighter suspension, bigger wheels, bigger brakes, body mods, etc.

...

The Evo came stock with all of that shyte. Plus almost none of the mods are CARB legal, and I like my warranty. I'm leaving it alone.
