You've got it backwards. It says you can use 5W-30 in the winter to improve startability for temps below -10 deg. F. Before it makes this note about winter, it says:

USE ONLY FULLY SYNTHETIC 10w-30 MOTOR OIL WITH THE ILSAC CERTIFICATION SYMBOL.

...so you can have your RTFM back and...

To answer the previous question, they used Mobile 1 5W-30. I made sure to double check that fully synthetic was used before I left.

even if they didnt use synthetic by mistake you would still be alright, you would just change back to synthetic but in the meantime it wouldnt hurt anything.

I know it's common to run non-synthetic for break-in and what not, but it never mentions to do this in the service manual and it doesn't mean for this period, the oil lines to the turbo aren't gettig a bit coked up, lowering the flow of oil to the turbo and therefore its lifespan...however brief...

If they put non-synthetic in there get it out immediately.

This kind of stuff is exactly why I do my own oil changes. My car only sees Royal Purple 10w30

For summer weather you need at least 10W-30. Take it back to the dealer.
