MN Smog inspection?
Hi guys. I don't drive an evo
I had to get a regular lancer. Just trying to reach a larger group of people here. My questions is about moving to minnesota and registering a car there.
I have RPW headers, magnaflow HFC, greddy resonater and muffler. When it was all welded up, the guy kinda butchered some stock parts, it would not be easy to go back as everything is welded together, I cut part of my stock intake vent off, etc.
In MN is it like California where you take your vehicle for a smog test, and that's it (at least then we could hopefully find a friendly place to test the car) - Will the DMV look into my engine bay? I tried looking on the state DMV site, but they're not too specific, I'm looking for some personal experiences here. Thanks ahead of time for any info. Peace.

I am a Minnesota native and Minnesota no longer has a SMOG test. They closed the drive through SMOG test stations ohhh...5-7+ years ago, can't remember exactly.
I should drive by the one in Oakdale, MN., since you brought it up I am curious as to what happened to it. I believe it's abandoned.
What a rediculous idea to have new vehicles tested for SMOG...gimme a break! The manufacturers already have to meet those standards when the car is built, so why test a brand new vehicle.
Just another sad excuse for wasting tax payer dollars.
