Problem... is anyone outhere?

Hey guys this is my problem. I install the RRM Header into my 02 Lancer OZ. of course the "check engine" light came on but the header was well installed and everything was working fine, so i didn't mind then.
well now that I moved to california the DMV is asking me to do a smog test, but my car won't pass the test because of the "check engile" light. I do not want to re-install the stock header and do the smog test.
Is there a way my car can pass the test with the RRM header? any help? thnx.

hate to tell you this bro but your car wont pass AT ALL untill you get a stock header back i nthere. Hope you kept your original. I just moved back from Cali and before i left i tried to sell my old car which was modded to all hell. I had to spend over 600$ in parts at a junk yard to get it to pass. That header does not have a CARB exempt number on it and therefore will NOT pass. Sorry man.

Just flip your cat around so your O2 sensor is in the back. That'll make your CEL go away.

^This doesn't work every time! Flip the cat and use the cel fix. Or just take out the light bulb from the SES light.

DO NOT DO THAT. When you'll go for your test they'll hookup an obdII reader to your Ecu. Even if you take the bulb out the code will still be stored in the Ecu. Get the code erased a few minutes before you drive in there and you should be fine(ObdII wise). I don't know about emission though.

its not just the CEL guys, in Cali they do a full visual inspection of EVERY part of the emissions system. As soon as they see an aftermarket header (and they wont miss it) youll fail. Dont waste the 35$, put your stock header back on before you go.

just install the old one and skip all the BS, your all making too much of this when he has the option of just putting the old header back on, its not that hard, ive done it.
