Unless you can sell the APS for a good price, you probably don't need to change. I do love my Forge RS, though, and I keep my old JDM MR DV spare for troubleshooting other people's cars and such...

So I guess the next question is, What is better, Forge RS or The APS blow off valve?

Forge RS for sure. It's not a ricer toy made to vent partially to air so that you can make noise. It's 100% recirculating and 100% made for performance only. It is adjustable for how stiff you want it to be, not for how much you want to vent to air vs recirculate.

Ahhh! im being pulled in different directions! haha. I know the forge's bore size is like 50mm and the APS is less. So i guess performance wise forge wins?

Look, they're both fine for performance. The RS is just performance only with a nice adjustable stiffness knob and full recirculationl. People get the APS so they can hopefully make noise...

This is true. A lot of people who inquire about the APS are interested in noise. But, I can honestly say that I couldn't tell a difference in noise between my APS and stock or MR valve with my cone filter. If you are running the stock air box, then I'm sure it's a different story.

Yeah, same here. My Forge is very loud with my Buschur intake - too loud for me, so the partial VTA feature of APS really isnt needed.

I've had mine to 28psi with a boost leak tester and it didn't leak. Other than that I couldn't tell you.

it should hold boost well. APS states that it will work on their biggest turbo kit which is the DR65 (similar to a 35R).

i myself run the Turbo XS RFL. never had a hiccup, sputter, or stall once. iuse all 7 washers on top of the spring.

APS valve sounds just like the stock BOV. I dont even notice a difference. FYI I did not buy it for "noise" my stock BOV fluttered and was very inconsistent on holding boost. The APS unit cured this which is what I was after. Most of the time when you are driving it is 100%recirc. Only at high boost levels will it open to the second port. Even still, the first port opens first (which is the recirc portion) before the piston reaches the VTA port. I run speed density now so it does not matter for my application. But when I was stock I maintain there were no issues with this valve for 10k miles.
