.So, you're saying that Billet Design is now using EcuFlash to tune customers and is charging $150? I hope they know what they're doing.
What they did was pretty much a mail in flash, minus the down time. And any time i need a reflash they do it for 50$. I think its pretty good, and yes they know what there doing when it comes to most cars. They have the faster porsche 911 in the world on 18 inch wheels, a skyline with about 800 whp. The lowest end cars they work on are evos and sti's. When i step into their shop most cars on the lifts are either supras, skylines, porsches or rx-7's, plus numerous porsches. Last time i was in there marco showed me a fully built 2.3L stroker they were putting in a coustomers car. There working on their own turbo kits basted on the gt35R. When i do my turbo im definatly going to have them do the install
Oh, well e-flashes from Dynoflash are $50 to begin with - even the first one. I can't see how that shop could have a huge database of Evo base flashes, so that would scare me. It doesn't matter what they've done with Porches or any other car - it only matters how many Evos they've tuned with flashing software. I would be seriously interested in knowing how they already built a database of base flashes for Evos for multiple mod combinations. AMS is one of the biggest and best Evo vendors/tuners in the world, and they didn't do any base flashes for a while, because they simply didn't have enough of a database built - it takes a lot of time and a lot of flashed Evos to build one. Dynoflash has tons, because he's been flashing for years.
I have a custom map that they put together for me. I just pulled out the recipt for my turbo back exhaust. I paid 160 for the DP, 340 for the cat back and 65 for the cat delete. Total of 565+ 150 for the flash. I definatly think that the map they made me was quite effective and well put together.
