Yeah, SCCA has a shifter kart class. We have one that runs locally...an F125.

Typos are when your fingers hit the wrong key on accident, not when you type a completely different word! Anyway, the "DE" stands for "Driving Event," as I noted above...

Are you referring to me personally or the races in general? I have sponsors for racing, and both SCCA and NASA (sanctioned racing orgnizations) have many sponsors who provide cash or cash credits to competitors.

Clay, what kind of tires did you run for rallycross? did you get tons of rock chips?

that course you ran on looks like it was a DIY race track in someone's backyard hehe, but still better than nothing, which is what i have here in NJ Englishtown has that one course, pretty narrow like what you drove on, but it was deemed "unsafe" by some township ***** because it runs too close to a real road. it's not open for racing. oh well.

I was just on my daily driver RT-615s. You can see the tread pattern in the mag cover pic. They were terrible for the rally-x, but I was just trying it out. I wasn't about to go find some 16" rims that fit on our huge brakes just to run some proper rally tires. However, if I were to continue in rally-x, that's what I'd do. It's just that I already have 3 sets of rims/tires for street/winter/race, so that's enough for me.

I didn't get noticable rock chips, so it was fine.

PS. This doesn't make sense being moved to off-topic. It was very relevant for Evo General and made perfect sense there, imo. Why would LEGAL racing vids about Evos be considered Off-Topic?

Good point, and the reason he didn't use any of my sound footage is because all those runs were with the windows open, and my camera's mic doesn't have a sound filter. All you get is a bunch of wind noise and no engine/turbo noise. My auto-x vids are with the windows closed, so you get some nice engine noise with purging noises from the BOV. This season, I'll be using a remote mic for the road racing so that we get some nice engine noise to go with the great footage, then Ben can incorporate music with natural sound.
