Oil Change.

Ok, I have a few questions. I have modifications to my car, like MBC, intake, etc. If I take my car in for an oil change at mitsu can they just be like `` Your warranty is voided!! `` I need to know if I should be doing my own oil changes from now on. Also, after how many miles do you change it? I normally do it at about 1500, but I am going to ride this one out to 2,000.

5,000 is higher then Mitsu's recommendation. My dealership suggests every 3,000. 5,000 in a high-performance car like this isn't smart.

I'm mainly concerned about the warranty void question.

synethic oil = 5k miles in this car

unless you frequently track your car 5k is fine

initially I'd change it at 1,500 or so

no reason to not do it yourself

Don't take it to the dealer with your mbc installed. That's just asking to void your warranty. Just buy your mobile 1 at wal-mart and either do it yourself or pay someone else. I change mine every 3500 miles

DIY and save at least $30. Jack it up and take off the front passenger tire.. easy!

Totally depends on the dealership. Some are cool, some are not. Its best not to risk it if you can avoid it. I would recommend keeping all the stock vac lines and intake as spares incase your car goes **** up (assuming you didnt cause it).

Man...you have to remove the passenger side tire off to do your oil change? You're doing more work then is really needed. Just jack the front, the hook looking piece (you have to remove the center piece of the under tray to see this, once you remove this piece just keep it off) in the front by the intercooler up about 6-8 inches. You don't need to lift the tire of the ground. You don't need jack stands either as you're not lifting the car up to high. Reach back and do your thing. This is what I've been doing on my 03 unless the new versions have changed. Very quick and simple.
