New launch control builds 20+psi!

There is a guy in Nashville that has a launch control on his car that builds 20+psi at the launch and smokes drag radials through second. I've seen him race at the speedway. Holly sh*t! How's he doing it? I have the Exedy and mine is weak compared to that.

You can build boost while stationary with launch control if you floor it. When you have to use your foot on the gas pedal to hold it at a certain rpm, its hard to build any boost.

I talked to some guys that know him and they said he just floors it and uses a button...but its not a studder box. I can only get about 10-11psi on mine and launches no where near like his does.
What is antilag?

Anti lag retards ignition timing and injects extra fuel so you have burning fuel ejected out the exhaust ports of the head when the exhaust valves open, rather than just exhaust gases. It is amazingly good at spooling a turbo, it is also very hard on the exhaust valves, and destroys turbocharges pretty fast.

he is probally using a MSD to retard his ignition. Here is my car with just 15 degrees retard

That is around 15-22psi.

Is there an way to make the stock 2-step a true stutter box so that you can build more boost?

With a program like EcuFlash, and not having to buy something else?

Yes, its literally just a simple change of numbers. Dudical PM me where you live and if you want to mess with your current settings I could do it for you in like 10 minutes.

not sure you can make it build more boost with ecuflash since you can not change the timing or fuel numbers on the stationary rev limit parameter. You can however raise the stationary rev limit to like 6k and build a little more boost that way.

There is such a thing as a "line lock" which allows one to build almost infinte boost at the starting line. It's something that the 9 second Evo II used.

Umm no. A "line lock" is totally different and has nothing to do with boost. On RWD cars it locks the frt brakes and allows the rears to spin freely for doing a burnout.
