So glad I have a garage now to park my evo in. I'm glad you didn't lose yours.

this is exactly how theft of hondas started with the models with the immobilizer.....there is a chance whoever stole your ECU will conduct some research on how to bypass the immobilizer.....after they mod. the ECU, those f*ckin thieves will use that to jack other Evos, etc.....

O BTW, forget those steering wheel hub release kits.... thieves carry these to steer the car

The only issues with the power kill switch are depending on where it's located it could be a pain in the *** to get to every time you want "piece of mind" and if it is in line with the power from the battery it will reset your ECU and you'll have to reprogram your radio every time you use it.

I think a good alarm and lojack are the best options along with parking your vehicle in your garage at night if you have one. It's kind of funny how many people in my neighborhood have their garages crammed full of junk and leave their cars in the driveway.

Bottom line is if they really want it they will find a way to get it.

be careful they can read your immobilizer code and come back from for your car later on.

Wow! suprise me that alarm systems are so much more affortable these days! i have no reason not to get one now since all the mods on my are at least many times more than the alarm!

Spending a little more to protect the investment!

i dont even have license plates on my new IX GSR and the other morning the driver window was blown out and they took my satellite radio from the center console. i was researching which alarm to get prior to that event...guess i shouldve made my decision earlier...anyways, i got a DEI python 700 - two way paging - piezo - dual sirens - the club (wife made me get it - haha!!! - it's a deterrent, right?) - prox. sensor...yes i am paranoid. need wheel locks though...any suggestions???(in case alarm fails for any reason, you know...)

oh yeah...i also got a garage at the apartment complex...yes, still paranoid...
people that mess with others' cars should be seriously injured and then hung upside down for many hours.

actually, it's not the 2nd most stolen car.. it's 2nd most theft claimed. meaning,

stolen plus broken into. they're arent enough evos out there to be 2nd most stolen.

2nd most stolen car was integra. no surprise there. forgot what #1 was though
