Why? Your cams didnt break your throttle body.

I got my effin Recaro seat warrantied because my fat *** wore it out.

You could even complain and get your exhaust manifold warrantied because theres rust on it!

Take it to the dealer!

that is strange. not to point fingers but I would suspect whoever took off the stuff for the clutch install to be the one at fault - considering you've never touched it. Seems way too rough of a chip to be done by anything other than wild prying.

Did you make your own boost leak tester?

Nothing, I've just personally had some UICP pipes that were crap and banged against the TB, thought that could have been a culprit.

Dude, I looked through this entire thread and couldn't see anything but your Avatar.

Seriouly, I would be hit up Turbotrix for a new TB. They had to remove it to do the clutch work right?

It seems every single thread I post in starts going completely away from the topic at hand and goes straight to avatar.

It may have been Turbotrix but there is no way to know. I cant just go there demanding a new throttle body because they "might" have broke it, thats not right. It is possible it was them? Yes Is it definite it was them? No. Therefore I willnot pursue that option. I hit up BlueEvo8, he has a used 2005 Throttle Body. I can repair mine later and sell it.

Yes, a guy at my brothers work welded up one for us. My brother and I share it. He has a 91 AWD with GT3076 though so we just switch coupler/reducer to use on each of our turbos.

Now I am clueless as to how this happened but the funny thing was, the boost leak actually turned out to be the TB shaft seals. So basically my throttle body is just a big mess right now! Leaking and chipped.

Anyone have any ideas how a throttle body chips like that? My clamp was set all the way back not even near the edge. Its only been taken on/off once when the clutch went on last month. Other than that, never. I actually have the peice of the TB that came off, its very small as you can see, it was just sitting snug on there.

Im in search for a 2005 OEM TB now!
Looks like someone used a screw driver to pry the hose off, damaging the aluminum. Hope that piece didnt go into the motor. If so might want to do a compression/leak down test to make sure valves seat correctly, and the little metal piece didnt bend a valve, gouge the seal , etc.

he said that he found the broken part just lying there. it didn't go inside the head.

definitely a result of careless prying of the hose. the TB material is not so brittle as to chip on its own.
