I talked to cosworth, they said to have cams coming out mid september and the price is going to be 599 as well. They already have them on their website listed at that price, just finishing up testing apparently.

I thought they are lighter. But I guess I’m not even going to bother with that.

Thank you for your reply.

For now I went with the JUN 264 exhaust cam. It does make a positive difference in low end power, as for HP #s I dont think it made much of a difference. When people really are making 20-30HP more I plan to upgrade...

Just give it time, the cams will come out. The RSX has VTC which is like MIVEC and they came out with cams for it, took about two years... but gained 20whp N/A. It can be done, just needs more R&D.

Link? I only found cams that were not MIVEC on the Cosworth site.

Cobb, cosworth and gsc are supposedly supposed to be coming out with cams.

However, until I see evidenciary support that they do infact gain a substanital amount of hp then the cams IMHO dont exist yet. Turbotrix's cam for the evo 9 is just a regrind and for the price they are definitely not worth it. IMHO I would just wait till all the companies come out with theirs this way by that time they have been perfected.

Also supposedly the test from gsc was done on a simple bolt-on evo so with barely any mods 20whp isnt bad. You will see gains of 50whp on a upgraded turbo evo. Howeve,r because we have never seen the dyno sheets and we never got a baseline of the car before cams everything about these cams and how much they made are just roomers.

Also, I thought you guys might want to know WORKS is working with Cosworth on their cams. WORKS 'should' be offering these cams fairly soon. Perhaps by the end of September.
