evo dash kit

IPT has evo dash kit now. carbon fiber or aluminum. $300.

link for aluminum installed on a IS300 is here:
http://www.is300.net/modules.php?nam...&pid=18&cid=11

i think this will greatly add a more sporty look to our evo's dull interior.

lets get a group buy on this.

I would defintely be interested in a group buy for the interior trim, as long as the quality is high. I assume this is stick-on trim, not panel replacement for $300?

I might consider it after seeing a photo of an installed kit on an evo. I looked at that site a few days ago and was dissapointed with the lack of photos. I could care less what it looks like in another car. The layout drawing is good for judging how complete the kit is but........

Some photos would go a long way

Buttom = bottom? I think you can get that right from Mitsubishi, it's the "CD changer" housing. You can search for "cubby" and get a few links like this one: https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sh...ighlight=cubby

I took my dash apart this weekend and getting a second DIN would require a little more work. The mount for the climate control is below the radio, and it does not have the same screw mount points as the radio does. I'm guessing to do this you would probably have to order the center panel from an Evo 7 RS2 and maybe a different metal bracket for inside the dash.

And then you'd have to worry about relocating your climate controls somewhere too. The cables connecting the temp and vent selection are awfully short, just long enough to reach the controls where they are now. Moving them down would probably be impossible without some kind of extension.

Thanks iodine23 for pointing me in the right direction!!! I was thinking relocating my Alpine HU to the cubby area, becuase the HU can tilt up and its alot easier to read in the cubby. the top Din is already tilted up a bit so MY Alpine is a little bit hard to read on sunny days. Now, I can relocate the HU to the cubby and install a 3 Gauga Din kit on the top Din! Thanks!!!
