I recently purchased a set of oem Recaros from a 2003 evo. I am planning to swap em into my wrx and called up wedge engineering. They told me to give them some measurements from each hole under the seat bracket. I was looking at under the seats and was a little stumped. Do you have to remove the sliders before you can remove the brackets? Or do you need any special tools? can anyone help a fellow friendly suby owner out?

All you need is an allen key-type thing (can't remember the exact name). There should be a little black screw on the rail that connects the rail to the brackets.

yea i can see the two screws towards the rear of the seats that will accept an allen key wrench. However, it seems like you need a huge allen key wrench beacuse even my biggest one won't fit in there. so do i just get a bigger allen wrench and unscrew that and the brackets will be off?

What about the fronts?

Yeah you just need a bigger allen wrench, the fronts are the same. Slide the seats all the way back and you should see the screws.
