jdm mr makes my car run like crap.

my idle is horrible with this dv. my car died on me once when i put it on neutral to come to a complete stop. i changed my plugs and i put my boy's 06 mr dv on just to see was there something wrong with mine and it's still the same. rpm sometimes drops to 300 and then goes back to normal. when i put the plastic dv back on my car runs better. why is that?

Hmm... well if you say its not backwards, then it shouldn't be.

Check all your vac lines.

Make sure everything is tight.

Can you push the DV open with your finger super easy? its weird that you tried two IX valves, and they both gave you the same result. makes me thing the problem is else where?

Try throwing your stock DV back on, and see if the problem is still there.

my car runs better with the plastic dv..idles smoother and boost feels better.

this sounds strange since my jdm mr valve improved my boost response and idle is just perfect as before

Maybe the JDM MR bov is leaking on you or defective. Have you tried to do a leak test?

He tried 2 separate ones, so it's not defective. There is a definite problem, but it makes no sense that the JDM MR/EVO IX DVs would cause these problems.
