What are your mods? The 4g63's are known for lifter tick. I had mine after i replaced my cams, starting running 10w30 and my car was sat for a really long time, installed my 35r kit, and other supporting mods and it was gone.. really weird..

Tick is purely cosmetic and not harmful. The only way it is harmful is if it's so loud it messes with your knock sensor.

Anyone know if the oil opening the top of the HLAs are similar to DSM's 3rd gen HLAs?

I had tick after cams (5,000 miles) and before stroker kit and springs/retainers (13,000 milies). Tick's been gone since stroker and v-springs.

FYI, I also noticed my Walbro 255 whine went away after I replaced the filter on the tip of the pump.

Interesting, what did you replace it with? Any special filter?

No, I just replaced it with a new one in the Walbro install kit after I removed my pump while diagnosing a problem with my engine. It looked dirty so I figured I should replace it.
