if u have a IX gsr first mod should be a boost guage...so u can make sure ur car's boosting correctly.

then u can get the mbc and tbe/catback.

have u checked out www.socalevo.net? there are plenty of vendors there with good parts...good luck.

He has a IX GG so I assumed it was an MR.

GG is a GSR color for 2006 though so a boost gauge may be needed.

Any VIII owner will tell you that, if they had a IX, the first thing they would do is a 3" TBE and a flash. That's usually good for 300whp+ on the Evo IX.

TBE
Intake(Drop IN,HKS RS or BR)
MBC
Reflash ECU
Boost Gauge
02 Housing that you have

A good package will be BR Stage 1,BR/Warrtalon Package or TTP Stage 1.

It seems everyone has the right idea.. The IX's are so much better out of the box than the VIII's were. As for doing things once, well that's kinda up to you. Mods are exactly that, Modifications to your liking, so sky is the limit, unless you make a limit. I personally will be buying an EVO 9 in the next year and will do the mods only until something radically better comes along.

TBE
Drop-in filter
Reflash ECU (w/boost controller)
02 Housing (coated)
stock manifold (ported/coated)
