Unless someone can supply pics of the urban legend restricter gasket, this one is a dead horse. Claims of friends or "some guy I know" saw it don't mean to much without proof.

Well .... since you have gone this far, how about getting a close look at the compressor wheel. I think it is a big 16G. And do you concur the No. 1 runner is far left on the EVO looking at the turbo?

yeah i do accomplish something called marketing research and i am starting to import jdm evo parts and researching the cars engine and little stuff like that. but with a name like diesel i can see why youre gassing yourself, if you even know what that means.

oh, sorry in that case. sometimes things in a post can come across differently than intended, especially when you got fools bashing on you when youre just trying to give them an idea that you know helped someones performance. you tend to get defensive. no hard feelings.

i wont say the things i should say to the people who desrve to hear what little kids they are because im what we call " an adult" so have fun with the evos boys. im outta here to talk to some people who know that im honest and and give them some modding ideas for their evos. also, enjoy the luxury tax after purchasing a $31,000 car. mine will be a business expense (write off) or maybe im misinformed there too.

Yes you are misinformed there, too. The luxury tax is gone as of 12/31/02 and it was $40,000 anyway. I hope you don't run your business based on your knowledge of taxes.

This could be out of left field, but a restricter between the manifold and turbo doesn't really make sense anyway as the absolute psi is being regulated by the wastegate and ecu either way. Could you be referring to some sort of restricting gasket between the turbo and the downpipe?

Did the downpipe install. Nothing there but a doughnut gasket. Does not interfere with anything.
