I'm not saying it's not easy to modify. I'm saying that it's worthless. I can park my GSX overnight in the crappiest places in NYC. No one will touch it. A Type R will have people hiding in your engine bay trying to take your motor out while your in drive through.

true, but they use the same type of similar matericals on both engines. Thats an Iron block. Toyota started the 4A engine sinces the 60's. and it die out in 1998 with the AE111. With 's 4G63 engine it was made sometime in the 80's. funny thing with the first 4G63 motors. put wights in the block to balance the engine. dont know why they put that there but. oh well

I guess you have to research more about the 4g63, it is not weights that was added like balancing a scale. Generally, 4 in line inherently produce a lot vibration compared to in line 6, V6 or V8, that is why mitsu added counter-rotating balancing shaft to produce a smoother running engine!

they did not add any weights. I would say all 4 in line produce a lot of vibration compared to V6, V8 that is why they came with this shaft, it is an improvement and some cars have added it to their engines beside mitsu. and you heard it wrong, probably 4g63 bashing.

I dont like the exactly think of that car as an import.

Its just a Celica shell with a Triton V8 block underneath. It's all American power with two huge *** freaking turbos... i

some of you guys are really idiotic with your comments (no offense). Stop this $hit about compairing apples to oranges. The EVO is a great car, but if it wasn't for Hondas we would not have a market this big for import sports cars. Quality in Hondas is a few notches above other Jap vehicles, not because mommy or daddys car lasted for 10 years or so, because a proffessional will be able to detect quality in the car build, no matter what car it is. Hondas are great cars, and I beleive that the Evo will make Mitsu a better car company as well.

Well said, except for calling us idiots. I Hate Hondas, IMHO. Ya see them everywhere. Civics are pretty cheap to aquire, making them more economical, leaving more funds for mods. Hence ya got every chump who wants to have a racer, turning their cars into ricers. Don't get me wrong, I've got some friends who are mechanics and work at Honda dealerships. Just because, I don't like the civics, doesn't mean there are not quality cars. It is because of there reliablity and cost that has driven the import racer market to where it is. So in away we should thank Honda, maybe by spanking the **** out of them with our new Evo's
