yah autometer sucks, ive had 3 different ones in my s4... first one was 2psi high, second one was almost exact, then i tried a friends just to see and it was 2psi too low...
not very consistent, just on that i would stay away from those!
defi all the way
my buddy has experimented with numerous gauges, he said the top two most accurate gauges were greddy and defi, but defi is highly recommented for the most accurate reading.

Ive read numerous threads of people's boost gauges being off by multiple PSI. Im just curious to know which one(s) are the most accurate out there. Any testing results would be nice if available.
I am thinking about the Defi Blue Racing Boost Gauge. I want a high reading, electrical boost gauge that reads in PSI. What is the most accurate one out there?
Thanks!
P.S. - Any other gauges highly recommended for high PSI to insure everything is functioning properly?

I have consistantly seen 2-3psi differences in autometer and defi gauges compared to the zeitronix.

check here:
Omori Gauges are accurate also. no one has mentioned them yet. i have them and they seem to be very accurate. alot less money than the Defi gauges. they are multicolored and electronic. the one i have supports 25psi. the mechanical one supports more. check my post #14 so see real pics in the car.

I'm getting my Defi BFs MAP checked by a tuner this week. I hope they're not off, but we'll see. IMHO, if a gauge doesn't offer warnings and playback it isn't worth my money...

Also, a question about Autometer....why do many drag racers use these if they are inaccurate?

There's no reason why an analog gauge can't be accurate. Whether analog or digital, they both receive a signal that is in some way proportional to the boost level. It has more to do with the sensor.
the zeitronix is a really awesome unit, but if you're just looking for a boost gauge, it's a little pricey and a little overkill.

Yeah I agree honda. I was liking it until I saw the pricetag of $275. I thought maybe I could find it cheaper somewhere but then I realized that that didnt even include the screen or boost option. Those would cost $3xx more. I thought $5xx for a boost gauge? FORGET IT

They can't compare to an LCD/MAP setup.
