little problem with a transaction

hi
i didnt know where to post this so i thought general would do
i had a transaction with a fellow evom member for a nitrous express kit
the deal was 215$ shipped
i got the money shipped the parts out but the nozzles and sprayer and relay were in a cup and i totally forgot to throw them into the box like an idiot
i know DEF my fault so i told him and he asked me to overnight them to him but i had to work the next day so i told him id try
well i was not able to but luckily i was going to brooklyn on saturday which was somewhat close to him seeing as how he was from long island
i called him at 9am 2 times got no answer
im from ct NOT used to driving in nyc traffic so i had many other things on my mind
well luckily when i got to the shop he flagged me down and i handed him the additional parts and we were both on our way
when i got home i got a pm from him saying the fogger from the kit was from a NOS kit and this was a nitrous express kit i have no idea how that happened as ive never owned another nitrous kit in my life and that he called my "cell" 5 times and left 2 messages
turned out that was my house phone so no help there

also he demanded 75$ back from the 215 for his time and a new sprayer
or he would leave me negative feedback
i told him i could do one thing and one thing only i could reimburse him in full and take the nitrous kit back which he declined

he called me a child and said i deserve to lose 75$ on this kit and that i handled things like a child
just wondering what you guys think about this and if im being unreasonable i think a full refund and me getting the parts back is a perfectly fair deal or he can eat the money and deal with it

You did everything you could. I would not refund a dime and if he feels he needs to behave like he is, end communication.

maybe he just doesn't know what he is talking about...and you did what you could on your end...you have seven positive transactions so I wouldn't let it phase you

if it was a big problem he would have taken the refund, he lost his chance for a refund. The mods should back you if he leaves neg feedback.

I agree with everyone else. You did everything you could, even somewhat going out of your way to drive to NYC. I think he's trying to screw you over. No logical person would have turned down a refund for the kit, if they were truly unhappy. I hope everything gets resolved peacefully.

well i was nice enough to not put his name into this post i just got off the phone with him and it seems like he disagrees he also said if i put his name into this "wed have a problem"
not sure what that means but it sounds like a threat to me so im gonna link this post to the feedback because at this point i have no problem having an enemy of this kind onf evom if this is how he does bussiness despite ANYTHING i did even if i only sent him the nitrous bottle and gave him nothing else offering him a full refund is more then fair and he declined

it so happens I know the person who bought the parts from the thread starter.

I retract my earlier comment where I said "screw him" because with any story, there's always two sides of the story.

I got to hear the other posters side of the story, and hope that you two will be able to resolve this issue in a fair manner.

A note to the moderators:

Please consider the buyers side of the story as well before you make your decision regarding the final results to the buyer/sellers feedback.

this is one of the dumbest threads ive seen, just handle this like men in real life and not on the boards.
