That's why I want to get a jdm front ecu, no need to fut around w/ making a gazillion relays. it's not that I don't enjoy the challenge, i just don't want to wire that much stuff.

damn computerized cars...

So does the JDM ECU affect anything else or change anything else?

You will need a front ecu for a jdm evo. all the lights are ecu controlled from a seperate ecu in the engine bay, under the fuse box. seriously. i've tried everything to try and trick the computer, but will need a detailed wiring diagram to succeed.
There is a way around i'm sure. You don't need an entire ecu.
Run a seperate wire for the fog light switch. It's not that difficult.
If someone really wants to do it, just run a wire and a relay.

Of course I could run the entire foglights on a seperate power source, relays, etc. unfortunately, i'd have to get a new switch, since our foglight switch, is a different than the type that we would need. I would rather not rewire half the front end just for a foglight.

basically, if anyone has a diagram of the front ecu, i could probably make a fix.

i did it on my nine, run your own wiring, oryou can hack in you wiring harness before you fuse box and run a wire from you parking light toyou fogs, either way you have to run your own wire. I did mine using a simple toggle.

do not do the method of running the wire in the relay box, this will blos the big black relay and cost you 165 dollars to fix.

total partscost me less than 20 bucks, look under my started threads and you will find the thread.

It's not that advanced. It's 1 single relay. Same foglight swit

Is it even possible just to rewire my fogs to make it work (or turned on) without turning on my headlights? (cause I replaced the stockers with some bright-azzed yellow fogs from PIAA)

does that allow you to run the fogs without highs or lows being on? that's what i'm after.

the only way to run them seperately is to have seperate actuation (switches).
