Is there any way to convert the stock gauge faces from amber to blue? Im sitting here with my gauge cluster apart on my desk trying to figure out how to get these faces to another color, I have tried a blue sharpie on other cars, and it make it too dark to work, there must be some way to lift the amber film on the cluster up and replace it with blue, any input is welcome.

 

You need to take the condoms off each bulb in the cluster.(There is a few dozen.) Than, you need to either paint(cheap and effective) or replace (best way) the bulbs for ones in your choice of color.

 

The problem with that is the bulbs themselves are not what give the gauges there color. The bulbs are white stock, and the gauge face has a reddish tint on it causing the gauges to give off the red light. Im really stumped on how to do this short of getting an entire new face made up, which im about to attempt anyway. Ill upload some pictures shortly.

Yeah, I saw those on ebay, they would be perfect if it wasnt for the white face, which makes me hurl. Otherwise they would already be ordered. Anyone know how to do this???

At night they kinda look like the new TL dash lights.

 

I like those. Now if he'd make some that match the Defi Blue Racer gauges.

I sent him an inquiry through ebay about black face gauges that illuminate blue a few months ago. I forgot what the reason was but unfortunately he said he was unable to get those. I wish someone made them though.

 

since more and more people want the black face lights up blue, I may do it on Jan.2007, because I am doing the black face lights up white w/o ACD now on December.
