Quick Question

hey guys I wanted to know if i didnt cap off the BCS when installing my MBC does it affect the adjusting of the MBC

why would you not want to cap it off? just do it the right way, you can get a whole package of caps at any auto parts store.

No i didnt have a problem capping it off but i didnt have the caps during install and was told i didnt need them. My MBC seems to not even work right. i bought it used for an excellent price and I am real dissapointed

You should have waited to do the install until you had some caps. Its probably not working because the stock BCS is getting a false reading.

Ok so that is what my problem maybe, because weather I turn the MBC down or up Im still spiking high like the MBC is not even affecting my boost

you dont have to cap off the stock boost controller. I have ams's kit and you only have to cap off the nipple on the outlet of the turbo and the nipple under the intake

I actually have mine hooked up to the turbo nipple and the WGA nipple so u r saying the BCS can be left uncapped huh?

yea u can leave it upcapped it will be fine ur boost controller might not be working right because of how u have it hooked up

It needs to go, turbo>BC>Wastegate Actuator
There is no way that the stock BCS could be affecting your boost pressure because it has no way to control, mine is uncapped and runs fine, last night it was 35 degrees in jacksonville and I was hitting 21 psi, and not dropping off at all because the ambient are was keeping my turbo nice and cool, just stuck to 21 psi all the way to redline, and it felt good.
