Let it snow!

I don't know about anyone else but I love driving my EVO in the winter time. I put the car into winter mode this weekend. I reinstalled the stock turbo & FMIC, switched to the Blizzak WS-50 series snow tires and did the meguiers 3 step wax process.

bring it on mother nature!

they really are like no other snow tire I've used before, the EVO could have something to do with it too though.

The WS-50 is awesome in the snow and ice, however they're terrible in the dry and wet.

Actually, my wife worked for National Steel. They sold giant rolls of metal for use in cars to Toyota and Honda in addition to the domestics. The Japanese manufacturers insisted on higher quality and fewer defects in the steel. Sometimes, a roll made for the Japanese brands didn't pass muster, so instead, it got sold to the domestics who didn't care nearly as much!

not true, they are still awesome in the wet and the dry. They just don't corner like the stock advans do.

as an example of there dry weather performance I was just at the track on Friday with my WS-50's pulling low-mid 1.7 60's, same times I get with the advans.
