I am trying everyday. We have a hotel/casino lock down, however I am awiting conformation on one final deatil before we seal the deal and have been waiting for two weeks. Spoke with them today, and it looks like we will get it figured out hopefulyl today or tomorrow. We are starting with an initial bock of 40 rooms for the 21st and 22nd as well as 10 rooms for the 20th that we will be on the hook for if they do not get filled. So we strongly encourage our attendies to book at the official site. If it starts filling up fast, we can extend our block. Our rates will be about $40 cheaper than what is currently availalable. Also, we are not charging attendies for the meet or the show(complete with awards and prizes) to make it more affordable and so more people will participate, We can do this is part thanks to our new nation meet sponsor, Perrin Performance.

 

Two new announcements.


We would like to extend our thanks to new event sponsor, Perrin Performance who has made it possible for us to offer our members FREE access to the meet and entry into our saturday night Lancer/Evo only car show held on the reserved top level of the host facilty's parking garage. Perrin Performance will be on hand with their displays and vehicles at all event activites.

Second, on the down side, friday night drag racing has been canceled due to a monster truck event taking place at the LVMS drag strip that night. We are actively working to schedule a replacement activity. One option is a dyno contest. I am making a thread in evo general to vote for the replacement activity

 

Awesome, thanks for the update. I'll be sure to check up daily for the hotel info so I can book my room. The wife is threatening hostilities if we cant make it out to vegas... lol

And that sucks about the drag race, hopefully a good alternative can happen by event time.

I can now release the name of the hotel, but please WAIT for the official word before making your reservation or you will not get the group rate which saves you 40/night.

The hotel is the Westin Casaurina Hotel and Casino Las Vegas. It is located 1 block from the strip and is a highly rated modern hotel/casino. We have reserved the top level (and maybe top to levels) of the parking facility for the saturday night car show again thanks to Perrin Performance. The car show will be free, but we will be asking entries to register early for an accurate car count for space. We should have the go ahead for reservations by tomorrow, or possibly the end of today.

 

Update #5282:

Friday evening Dyno competition and Poker Tournament confirmed! We will be hold a 20 car max dyno competition at Dougs Dyno, about 12 miles form the hotel. To competition is for the highest HP with an award going to the winner. Entries are $25 only and should be limited to high HP cars. The dyno is a AWD Mustang Dyno. Thos that wish to enter you contact me with estimated or known current WHP. First come first serve of the top 20 highest HP cars attending.

Friday night Poker tounament. Pretty standard winner take all Texas Hold Em tournament. Contact me if you are interested in entering.

For those curious, the room prices start at 199/night before the group discount.

And as of about 5 minutes ago, the group discount is still not in place.

Any news on when the discount will go into effect Charles?
