RS owners any regrets

I was wondering if any RS owners regret buying their RS and wishing they went with a regular 9 or SE. I am on the fence between SE and RS money is not the issue the issue is the options i would be losing with the RS(ABS is the main) vs. what performance gain would i really gain by going with the RS over an SE model. This would not be a DD car. I have listed the pros and cons of each and i am still undecided. also i sidenote question how many RS EVos were made since its introduction.

I've owned both the RS and the SE. ABS wasn't an issue for me, nor did I miss any of the power options in the RS. I didn't like the headlights. I bought a SE, because it offered an aluminum roof and lighter wheels along with HIDs. As for performance, I can't say which is better with any degree of confidence - both are great cars. The RS feels a bit more aggressive and raw, which is something I miss with the SE.

I really wanted a red RS but they didn't have one. They did have a red MR and I couldn't resist. I looked at the other Evo's (colors and models) for like one minute each. I spent hours looking at the car I ended up getting. As far as choosing a car it just has to feel right to you.

I don't regret buying an RS but there are some things I miss. Like power side mirrors and intermittant wind-shield wipers. I've installed power locks and a pretty nice stereo system. I just couldn't see myself driving around a car with a boy racer spoiler on the back. That's why I got the RS. I really wish Mitsu offered the Evo GSR or MR with a small wing or no wing at all. Who wants to spend $30k+ on a new car, remove a stock spoiler and then have to pay a body shop to fill the holes.

The ABS is not really much of an issue with this car. If you want and can afford the extras get them. If you want to save some money and lose the wing get the RS.

Back in '03, they DID offer small wing option for GSRs but I think they stopped since it wasn't a popular option

I had 04 RS, traded in for SE. Not that I chose SE over RS but it was the model they had in IX. If they had IX RS, I probably would have bought it and save $$$.

I miss the raw aggressive nature of my RS. And the wing and the bling on my SE is something I'm trying to get used to. I think the plain nature of RS looked better w/o the giant wing and bling wheels.

I'd get the RS!!!

I still like my SE, it's fast, way faster than my VIII RS. But, I bet IX RS would feel and go faster....hahahaha
