Evo 2005 8- miles 12800
Mods
HKS Intake Pipping with Apexi filter
Hallman MBC pro Rx with cockpit controller
I was looking at defi boost gauge's and from my knowledge those are the best as far as accuracy, but i was debaten b\t the defi controller gauges or just gettn them sep. boost, etg, air and fuel?
Just was wondering if that is the best guage to go with or should i go with something else?
also
controller setup or apart?
Future Mod's?
Exhaust or ECU flash? or something else?
3" down pipe, 3" tip, 3" cat
Exhaust
the one i liked the most was JUN
TBE JUN B.L.- 560 shipped
TBE Buschur-$825+ shipping
TBE AMS-1000
TBE HKS
or any others?
ECU flash
the one i liked the most was the Bucshur racing
removes your fuel cut, speed limiter, and raises the rev limiter to 8500rpm for $375 mail in
but other ones
vivid racing
vishu
ams
others? or local shops?
Just tryn to get more information on Defi Gauges or gauges, exhaust what really matters and ECU flashes

since you have your mind set on defi gauges, you can go with the defi blue racer series which don't require a control unit and are simple to install since they are electrical. as far as performance goes, just buy a warrtalon package and call it a day.... oh yeah, it also includes a reflash as well.
we'll i was thinking about the buchur racing packages, but didn't like some products in each packet, like the bucshur filter, Buschur boost controller, Buschur gauge pod, and gauge, no offense to Buschur racing great product and all, but i was thinking spend alittle more money on the filters and boost controllers, and gauges, like the apexi filter was rated one of the best compared to hks, blitz, K and n, like would you take a hallman boost controller rx over the bucshur controller?
I wish i could mod the kit alittle and then i'd go all Buschur
but somethings i'd perfer maybe its me no idea

Since you've already got some of the mods from the kit my advice to you would be to just buy a TBE. Buschur makes one of the best exhaust for the Evo. If you want a raw sound go with the Buschur muffler. If you want something a little quieter go with the bullet or the magnaflow. Or HKS and the other japanese companies also have a terrific exhaust. Whatever you do try to get all your part together and then get tuned/flashed. A good alternative (cheaper too) would be to buy a tactrix cable and just email jestr tuning and have him email you a flash back. Along with his fee of 52 bucks to do the flash and the cost of the cable (80-90 bucks) you'll be saving a good bit. His tunes have also proven to be very reliable and produce good gains. Thats what im going with since im moving from an area that has 93 oct to an area that has 91. That way i pay 104 for 2 flashes and just upload em to the ECU as needed.
There are some really good local shops in GA for you. You've got Dyno4Mance in Calhoun, http://www.dyno4mance.com/, and TopSpeed in Alpharetta http://www.topspeedsales.com/.. Either one of those guys could get you tuned good.
If your going defi get a temp/press/egt/boost gauges. I just ordered all mine in their blue racer series, since no control unit is needed.
For exhaust get a cat-back downpipe and exhaust manifold. Cat-delete only if you really want it.
Keep your stock air box, it is good a high hp which I don't remember, just search it on here.
You don't need a ecu flash with an exhaust.

Keep your exhaust manifold unless you're going to get some expensive unit like Full Race. PNP and coat your stocker and you should be good. If you're going to upgrade your turbo then sell it later on down the road.
You are leaving A LOT on the table if you don't get tuned. That has to be one of the best mods possible.
Didnt see that you were here in GA. Topspeed is an excellent shop to get tuned at. But if your gonna spend the 650 to have them tune you you might as well get all your parts together and install them and then get tuned. Im in Kennesaw though. Where in GA are you?
Oh ok. I didnt know they offered a Ecuflash tune. My buddy Charles just told me about them and just mentioned ECUtek. the only reason HKS piping would be better would be if it were bigger in size. Either that or maybe smoother.
