Need help with Defi boost gauge

Ok guys after a lot of procrastination I installed my defi boost gauge and link on my evo MR. I tapped the pre existing vacuum line from the factory boost gauge. Problem is when my car is at idle it only reads about 15cm/hg vacume instead of like 40 before I installed the defi boost gauge. However when I go into boost both gauges read accurate 1.35 Bar in 6th gear.

Please help me, I do not think the line is kinked because it reads boost fine just not vacuum.

Update, both gauges are reading boost accurate, about 19-20 psi in 6th gear.

However my mitsubishi boost gauge is not going into vacuum at all, and after say going to 15 psi the needle slowly drops to about 5 pounds and stays there when the Defi boost gauge is in 25 psi vacuum.

Thanks

The Mitsu gauges are kinda crappy man and i wouldn't worry about it "not reading 40", the standard for vacuum is about 15 depending on your altitude, so don't worry. The only question i have is why are you using your pre-exisiting tap.....there are plenty of "How To's" that show different methods to where to tap in at.

Ok now the Mitsu boost gauge is not going below .5 bar, guess I will be looking for another vacuum source. What is the cleanest place to get a vacuum source, only one I know off hand is FPR.

Thanks guys
