700 dollars isn't getting you anywhere with gaming. Just thought I'd let you know. These Dell Xps M1710s throw you back around 2600 dollars, and that's before you make it fast.

Yeah. Tell me about it. I paid 6800 straight up for mine.
If you're just going to be logging, using AIM, and browsing... you might as well go for the cheapest thing you can find. Don't touch HPs and Compaqs though. They have a tendency to die after a few months. Sonys die after a few months too, but they're way overpriced so I wouldn't recommend one anyway.

it should be under dell quickset, then go to gaming, then turn the LEDs off
at least thats what i do
