I think a lot of guys can't drive or are making really dangerous choices if you are having trouble driving in very light snow or high 20's low 30 degree weather. It's been that temp around here all week (it snowed today...light dusting) and I have had zero issues. I live up in the hills and as long as there is some traction the tires are finding it. Obviously heavier snow is going to fill up the small traction groves of the stock tires. Any tire with 8/32 's tread or less will have huge issues in snow, but cold roads and spotty ice are not problem. I tried revving it and flooring it in a parking lot to see how bad it would slide and it has a million times more traction then my S2000 had or my wife's mini-van. And this is a parking lot where I was having a hard time walking while sliding around. Unless you are just waking up in the morning after your tires have got sub 30 degrees and trying to take the first corner you come too like it's 75 degrees out you will be fine. No tires are going to help if you hit a large patch of black ice, but normal spotty ice is just fine with the advans. All of these 'OMGZ EVO tiR35 sux0Rr n t3h sno0WWbbb!1!!1' remind me of all the S2000 threads about how if it sprinkled one day your car would fly off the road.
