Problem with clear coat on brembos!

who cares about what the calipers look like. You should see Martin's car (AMS) his Brembos are solid black from high heat temps. Most of my friends in the Milwaukee are have "brownbos" and take pride in it!

yes you can powder coat almost anything metal. I did my calipers on my Sportbike. No problem. Just make sure all of the brake fluid is out. The heat from the oven tends to make the caliper close/open and will squeeze out the fluid left inside which then ruins your powder job you just did.

most will claim that the peeling or browning is because of the calipers overheating. The only way to overheat them is to use the crap out of them. Typically from track use.
Most often i'd suspect its because someone uses OEM or Street pads that lose bite, glaze, fade, etc. when they get up to track temps, and the excess pedal pressure required to regain that bite can cause excessive heat buildup. Pressure increased heat, as does friction. Put on R-Compounds? Now you've got more grip so you can use even grippier pads. This may develop even more heat.
