curbin update

i hit a curb about a week ago if some of you guys remember....took it to the body shop and the results are a slightly bent unibody. the whole driverside rear suspension is pretty much gone. so of corse i couldnt drive it. the tow truck put it on a dolly and wedged a piece of wood between the rocker panel flange and the rear cross member to hold the car up on that side. soo the body shop said the rear cross member is bent upward on the right side. the body shop said this is a non serviceable area....do you guys think my car is totaled???? im praying its not.

The body shop will tell you. Personally, I'd rather have it totalled and buy a new Evo rather than attempt to fix it.

Why not if you could afford it in the first place pray that it is totalled and get another mint one. If god forbid something ever happened to mine like that I would hope it was totalled I have lived with cars that had some major damage and they were a pain afterwards. Nobody puts then together like the factory plain and simple. Besides everything seems so percise on the evo that one little thing not quite right is really noticeable as apposed to other lesser cars. If you are afraid of being upside down in it then I hope you got gap insurance if not let it be a lessen to you and get it in the future. Good luck and let us know what happens.

Did you ever post pics of the damage I was watching the other thread but never caught them if you did.

if its totalled the insurance company will write you a fat check for whatever the car was worth.. time to go out and buy a new one..

but you'll have a fat surcharge next year

If you owe more than it is worth they the gap insurance seperate policy will pay off the rest or the GAP. So if you owe 25k and it is only worth 22k you don't have to come up with the extra 3k. You must be kinda young make sure you know what you are sign up for before you sign all those papers. Hope everything works out okay.
