Thinkin of sellin the EVO
Well the plus is that the soon to be wifey has a nice car....BMW 3 series fully loaded, so she should be happy for a while and she only owes $8g's instead of my $20. So if i get rid of the EVO and i help pay hers off then it will be much easier to get into another EVO or sports car with only one car payment. And who knows, maybe the EVO X/10 will turn out to be a great car and i may want one..........I wish i were rich, it would solve this problem instantly.
Anyone on here a Finacial Advisor? I work at Citi Home Equity and i was talking to someone who is a trainer here and he was saying something about estimated value and taxes and...all sorts of **** that would allow me to keep the EVO and get bigger tax returns which in return would make me more money or something...i got lost half way through the convo so i figured someone on here may be able to explain it a bit better. Anyone able to explain this for me?
finance it through the house that you are buying..... it will be paid off and your payments might be a little higher on the house, big deal. you will be saving way more by doing it this way..
so your not going to have a car... or get a beater?
your going to take a hit getting a new car... lets say you sell this for 23... and the next car you get is 15... its worth paying an extra 5 and keeping the car and not having to bother...
if you dont need a car, then your all set... but who doesn't need a car?

if you lived in NYC (or any other major city) you could probably get by just fine without owning a car

Well with the bills from having a house, two car payments at $400 a piece, insurance payments on a house and cars, cell phones, food, gas, and money to go out....i just don't think it is managable at this point in my life. Once i get a promotion in a year or so i should be fine but i don't want to burden myself with all these bills to where i can't enjoy anything.
i got a same car , silver gsr ssl 04 with 20500 miles in it .Not a screch on it, mint condition. i traded in ,in 06 dec . I got 21.500 for it. so i guess, if you sell it privat you can get around $23000.
good luck for selling!!

So it's an extra / weekend car? Sell it. Sounds like you are not even enjoying it. Why be strapped with the extra stress / payment. Besides, you shouldn't even be financing a depreciating asset. It's actual costs are much greater than simply the finance charges.
If the payment is going to affect your ability to afford / pay for your mortgage, its a no brainer.
My $0.02.
