Thinkin of sellin the EVO
this was brought up on the first page of the thread.
anyway, i was at the dealer last night and i was offered around $20k-$21k for trade in on my 2005 Evo that is mostly stock, garage kept, and only has 8,000 miles. Evo's don't hold their value. Not sure if it's because of the big wing or if it's just b/c it's a Mitsubishi. Anyone have any success stories of trading in or selling their Evo?

If you don't agree, go to KBB and compare your car's dealer trade in value to its private party sale value. I guarantee the private party sale value will be a lot more.
The dealer trade in value is always the lowest value a car will have. If you didn't trade it in, but instead sold it yourself you would get a lot more money for it.

Good luck selling it. The used EVO market seams to be pretty weak rite now. I have had mine listed for a couple weeks and had no intrest. Also if you look at all the ads in the cars for sale section you will notice no one is posting up "Sold" in their adds. Hopefully spring brings a demand for used EVO's

Unfortunately not a lot of people want to buy them because many of them have been driven hard most of their lives, and especially after reading people's stories of hearing how someone beat the **** out of their car the day before they traded it in, some may be hesitant to go ahead with a purchase like that.
But just because a car is driven hard dosn't mean its not taken care of.
