i think the highest possible setting is still too low.

the lowest possible setting is a complete waste

Do people flash theirs at you when you have it on the highest setting? or is it really not that high to oncoming traffic

Then readjust them maunally so the lowest is just right.....then the highest will be an improvement

i read somewhere on this site that the manual adjust does not really help much. the highest possible setting for manual is just an inch or two

Hmmm, well soon I will be of more help, when I actually own one

Being in the auto industry collision repair, I would venture to say there is probably a way to change the mount point of the headlamp assembly, or at least prop up the front of the assembly to make them angle upward slightly

I think the normal position is zero. The lights can only be adjusted down and the purpose of the adjustment is to lower the lights if your front end is raised. That could be caused by having American Idol Rubin Studdard and his brother in your backseat or 4 sets of golf clubs in the trunk.

the lower settings can be for when there is dense fog and on our cars you can't do the bmw thing (oranges and fogs only). So you hit the lowest setting and rally out with the fog lights.

I was trying to find a real use for the adjustable headlights and found one. A couple weeks ago I was following a friend that was on a crotch-rocket around some winding roads with definite increase in elevation. I used to ride bikes for about five years and remembered how nasty it was to have headlights in all your points of rear-sight. I angled my lights down on the evo and bingo. No problem for my bro, and I could see perfectly. Works really good at night on inclines to not bother the peeps in front of you.

I have mine at 0, the highest aim (lowest #) setting. No one brights me, so I assume it's not too high.
