back from RRE

i just got a high flow resonator, downpipe, fuel pump and reflash from road race engineering and the car runs strong. i already had a mbc and catback. before the tune i was running 20 psi, but as we were tuning he asked me to raise the boost a little so i gave it a little turn. today i was on the freeway and the car holds 22psi in all gears up to 3rd. when i go from 3rd to 4th the boost spikes to 25 and tapers to 22. the tuner told me the night when we were tuning if i remember correctly that its fine as long as it doesnt go past 25, but all this time i have been reading up on boost and people say that you shouldnt boost past like 23 psi. and i am running pump gas so do you think it is ok for it to spike to 25 then taper down to 22 after a second. going into fourth is the only time it happens

If scott grey tuned your car you should listen to him.

I personally think that you are pushing your luck by hittin 25 psi on pump gas. Even if it is for just a second. That means that you are prolly getting knock for just a second. You just have to trust your tunners judgement. I know that I wouldn't hit 25 psi of pump. I think that the most I ever hit was like 23 psi on pump. Good Luck

As the other person said,if Scot Gray tuned the car you should be fine. Since he was the one looking at the logs,he's the one that would or should be able to make that call on your particular car. Each car is different, which is why you got a tune specically for your car.

I was tuned by Scott and I spike to 24. Been running for about 6 months like that.
