Floor carpet seperation fix???

Ok I dont know if anyone else is having this problem. 04 evo 8 Drivers side floor carpet is seperating at and around the floormat hook. The hook is loose also so my floor mat just moves where ever it wants to and is getting annoying....... I was thinking of taking glue, not sure what kind, in a syringe off the ambulance and inject it under the carpet. Any advice on glue type or other method to fix????

Shave off the rubber nubs underneath the mat and stick on the "sharp" side of velcro stickers. That grabs onto the floor carpet pretty well. Or if you want a permanent solution, self tapping sheetmetal screw to fasten the mat to the floorboard.

Humm...you may want to take out the driver seat and i think the doorsill and get the the backside of the carpet then either glue with something strong that wont soak through or some other way to get it to say there...

I'm so glad you posted this question. I have been having the same problem with my mat always coming off the hook, and it is incredibly annoying. Hopefully someone will chime in with a good solution. I'm not really partial on tech screwing my floormat in.

I have the issue too. I was thinking about using a Paper Clip to fix this... or some duct tape. Just kidding. Maybe some velcro would be a good solution.

True double sided velcro to secure the mat. But what about the carpet bubble and loose hook flopping around?

like some said, take out the seat, get below and double sided tape down the capret to the floor board...that would help with the loose carpet

now velcro the mat to the carpet....problem solved....

I know this doesn't have to deal with giving you a fix to your problem, but I placed a rubber aftermarket mat over the manufacturer's mat to protect it. That's not too ****, is it?
