Just got back from AMS in Chicago

Well I just got back from AMS performance in Chicago. I had them test and tune my 2005 Evo 8 on the dyno. They said everything is working great and slightly re-tuned my ECU for a custom tune. Here are my Add-ons and below that will be what i pulled on the Dyno at AMS performance:

Buschur Racing EVO VIII 3" DOWNPIPE
Buschur Racing EVO VIII 3" HIGH FLOW CATALYTIC CONVERTER
Buschur Racing EVO VIII 3" CATBACK
Buschur Racing EVO VIII MAF PIPE KIT
Buschur Racing EVO VIII UPPER INTERCOOLER PIPE
Buschur Racing FORGE RS BOV
Buschur Racing RACE FRONT MOUNT INTERCOOLER
Buschur Racing LOWER INTERCOOLER PIPE
Buschur Racing SHORT THROW SHIFTER
Buschur Racing HKS 272 INTAKE CAMSHAFT
Buschur Racing HKS 272 EXHAUST CAMSHAFT
Buschur Racing APR STUD KIT
Buschur Racing WALBRO 255LPH FUEL PUMP
Exedy Twin Disc Racing Clutch
Forge MANUAL BOOST CONTROLLER

On AMS Dynojet With the custom tune they did, my 2005 Evo 8 pulled:
309.66WHP
290.57 Torque

They said it is running correctly and has great power.

I will attach a picture for you guys just incase someone seen me driving around in Chicago for the 5 days i was there.

I thought my numbers were low at first as well. I think their dyno reads low for a dynojet......at least that's what I keep telling myself.

I've seen TT and AMS dyno charts and I'm willing to bet TT reads higher. IX's without cams are under 320 on the AMS dyno.

But Don't they both use a Dynojet?

Yes but that does not mean that they both read the same.

those numbers seem abnormally low...almost like you were on a mustang dyno, even though AMS' dyno is obviously a dynojet.

I basically had all your mods, minus the front mount, and hit 352 on 93 octane only.

You hit this number on the AMS dyno or the TT dyno?

There was someone with a IX that put down 281 awhp on the AMS dyno and trapped 106 mph.
I've seen guys with 350 awhp on the TT dyno posting 111 mph. Five mph is a big difference but not 70 whp difference.
I could be wrong. It's hard to prove either way.

The only way you can tell is to run it at the track.

Dyno numbers really don't mean anything unless there are some real world results to back them up.

Will bring in track numbers from E-town before the end of this summer.
