i bought a used 2004 RS and its red....i thought it was rally red. well at the dealership today they looked it up for service records etc. and the color was listed as phoenix red. witch it does look hot as hell in the day light...not your typical red color...so my question is.....

When did they make Rally Red and start doing Phoenix red, visa versa?



yes i searched and couldt find much on Phoenix Red color on EVOs...just some Lancer....and if u can find what im lookin for by searching you will get a cookie...

 

I think 05 and 06 are rally red...I thought that 03 and 04 were phoenix red...or maybe vice versa

 

Phoenix red is on the regular lancer. All Evos are Rally Red, but that question does pop up every once in a while. There does not appear to be any difference in the color other than the name, though.

 

phoenix red is the paint code name for a rally red evo
just as igloo white is the paint code name for a wicked white evo

 

That's why I chose EB. It's the only TRUE evo color along with GG.

 

Mitsu does actually does make a GG lancer.

mitsu also makes electric blue outlanders..

 

The Apex Silver I don't believe is the same silver they use on the lancers either . . . a lot more metallic in the Evo's.
