The Evo was made from a rally car.
Don't be so sure. I quote a district service rep from Mitsubishi who said, "The car is a high performance car, but if you drive it like one you will break it. It is not meant to do that". Nice.

Man the Evo's always had a reliable reputation in the past 11 years, so don't worry about it. Sure there are going to be a few bad apples in the bunch, but it doesn't mean the Evo's reliability is down the drain. Guys, it's not a DSM, so don't worry about it.

Every car has it's small little problems... From the electrical issue in the new 7 series BMW's to my 2003 G35 Coupe... But look at the #'s... Those you seen were only a few while everyone elses car... As long as you take care of it I guarantee you wouldn't have any major problems.

Just because you see a thread on this board about tranny, wing, clutch, etc problems...do not assume we all have them. I've got 2200 miles with no problems. Ohhh, and I park my car out in the TX heat everyday for work. So I would think that my wing would have bubbled by now. The car has been wonderful.
