EvoM Trip To Japan!
OK guys normally hotels cost about 200-300 dollars per night.
A ryokan which is a traditional Japanese type room where you sleep in a mat on the floor cost cheaper.
Here's a site where you can find cheaper hotels
http://japaninfo.esmartweb.com/accommodations.html
Also anybody who knows or has family working for a Hotel in North America (they can probably book you as a family rate) if they are nice enough. Thats what happened to me a friend of my wife works at a Westin Hotel in L.A. and we got a good deal to stay in Westin Tokyo it only cost us $70.00 US per day.
Also renting a car in Tokyo is very expensive let alone the cost to park your car. If your travelling around Tokyo make sure you learn the Subway and train system they also come in English very easy to go around Tokyo that way. If you have to use a car only use it if you really have to go to a place where public transportation cannot access.
For food just eat at the fast food (they have good Japanese fast food too) or you can just go to McDonalds or KFC.

my wife actually cried when she saw our hotel room in our Ryokan, it was so tiny. But by the end, it was really all we needed. A place to crash, shower and stop at is all you really need. Bring your walking shoes, you'll need em.
Update:
i will be completly updating the thread, but the trip is offical, and we will be going.
there will be a strict limit of 15 people allowed to go. Hiro from J on Demand will hopefully be our tour guide throught the whole trip, and let me tell you.. the places he can get us into are amazing. the places we talked about going are crazy!
hes the man basically.
Very official times will be coming within the next month..

its going to be a once in a lifetime trip for sure!
Ok based on the priceing i got today from IACE
It would be under $2600 bucks person which is a lil to high for the amount of people where bring so where working on priceing.
That price is based off if you want your own room if you share a room 2 beds it would be a lil under $1800 per person

Man, I would kill to go back there... You guys are going to love it! I was there for 4 years and would go back in a heartbeat! Just remember the money thing... Japanese are so nice also! Treat them respectfully and they'll treat you exactly the same... Some more basic stuff to remember: (I'm not sure if I got the spelling right, but you'll get the point)
Hai (pronounced like HI) = Yes
Semosen (pronounced SI MO SEN, but all put together not seperated like that) = Excuse me basically, it does mean other things
Domo (pronounced like it sounds) = Thanks... Domo Arrigato (you've probably heard the song) = Thankyou very much...
Just some basic stuff to help get you by a bit...

Hey bro, not to freak you out I hope but you are in NJ, and since I work for an airline, I can get us both for free to LA, and if you want to also to Japan, on stanby. But then if we fly to Japan for free we might not be able to meet up with the others, so I think I'm going to pay for that one ticket.
