Boost creeping...a lot

Problem:
Boost erratically creeps up to 26-28psi

Mods:
ttp o2 housing, downpipe, test pipe, generic cat-back, forge mbc, walbro 255, turboxs "shorty" intake

Idea:
could the shorty intake be messing with the maf enough as I haven't uploaded my ecuflash eflash yet to cause these sort of problems?

Already checked:
all lines, no leaks. wastegate and bov are operating properly.

Problem is back...dammit

Would think so but it was fine until I had all of my bolts ons done yesterday. Don't think it'd magically go bad at that time. Points to something that was bolted on.

ahh, I didnt realize that the problem started right after you put parts on.

What parts were installed yesterday?

TTP-Engineering:
-o2 housing
-downpipe
-test pipe

Generic 3" cat-back

TurboXS "Shorty" Intake (essentially a K&N cone filter with a MAF adapter)

Forge MBC

Walbro 255lph pump

AEM Wideband and Boost Gauge

Only thing I can think of is the intake...going to try the stock box and see what happens. I know a lot of people say when you get away from the box and goto a cone you have to tune for it. So I'm crossing my fingers.

P.S. ran the air compressor to the wastegate just to test and it seems to be functioning fine

I believe I've heard of some o2 housings causing boost creep.. you may try a quick search to see if that yields you anything useful..

I agree, it could be the intake. It would appear to be the only mod that within reason will do this. Might wanna look at the cat-back too, along with the o2 housing and testpipe. Generic cat-back? I don't like the sounds of it, personally. However, its a lot less likely to be the cause, obviously. Could be a catalyst though.

Doing all that at once might not have been the best approach?

Check to see if the wastegate line is teared or if there is a vacuum leak...if it is then the wastegate will not open causing the turbo to hit full boost. Becareful and don't hit boost otherwise you have chances of blowing your motor since you're only on pump gas. Detonation and knock is result of high boost and regular pump gas.

First, you shouldn't add those mods then drive on them without your flash uploaded - that isn't smart.

Secondly, where is your boost set? You say it creeps to 26-28, but at what rpm, and where is it set initially? We need more details, but it's not normal to have severe boost creep. Since everything got installed at once, it's tough to determine the culprit. It could be the o2 or the MBC. If the spring inside the MBC is not seated, then it will cause uncontrolled spiking, but that's not the same as boost creep. We need more details to help determine the root cause.

What's stopping you from uploading the eflash that you already have? I wouldn't have gone one foot after installing that intake without loading my flash.

Sorry...just read the wastegate part...might be the intake or O2 housing then.

Where do you live? An obvious cause if it is cold where you live might be the weather.

I don't understand the question, jhanks.

If you're running 22psi, then you should be running 22psi peak and then it gradually tapers throughout the powerband. You don't test for boost creep - it either happens or it doesn't.

PS. Not nice to thread-jack. This guy is trying to figure out his problem, so don't detract from it.

Live in NY.

Waiting for TTP to e-mail me the flash.

Wanted to drive the car just to make sure it ran...found this out. Same problem with and without the MBC installed so I already ruled that out.

I see how the intake could cause the problem, but how could the o2 housing at fault?
